2025-26 Giving Circle: Annual Appeal for the Port Royal Community Charitable Fund
Port Royal residents are generously giving of their time and money to the Port Royal Community Charitable Fund. The Fund was launched in the fall of 2021 and awarded its first grants to nonprofits in 2022. The goal is to pool charitable donations to address needs in the greater Lowcountry community.

Annual Giving Levels: Annual giving levels for the Port Royal Community Charitable Fund are effective for the fiscal year (July 1 - June 30). The 2025-26 Giving Circle is the name adopted for the annual giving levels for the Charitable Fund. All funds given during the period of July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026 will be eligible for these levels.

Matching Gifts: Many corporations have a matching gift program. If your corporation has this program, please let us know.

IRA Distributions: IRA account holders aged 70 ½ or older are able to roll over up to $100,000 per year from an individual retirement account (IRA) directly to a qualifying charity without it being considered a taxable distribution.

Tribute Donations to the Charitable Fund:
Tribute donations can be made to the Port Royal Community Charitable Fund, in care of Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, either online or by sending a check.​​​ Please remember to designate “in honor of” or “in memory of” the person’s name. Also, if you would like for an acknowledgement letter to be sent to the family, just let the Community Foundation know, and provide the name and address they should use.

Private Foundations and Commercial Charitable Gifts:
Foundations and Funds may award grants in support of Port Royal Community Charitable Fund.
